Cookie Policy

There are no advertising cookies on Roadze, and nothing here follows you to other websites. What we do use is the handful of things needed to keep you signed in and remember how you left the app.

Cookies

NamePurposeLifetime
Supabase sessionKeeps you signed in between visits. Without it you would have to log in on every page.Until you sign out

It is strictly necessary: it exists to make the thing work, not to study you. Blocking it means you cannot stay signed in.

Stored in your browser (not sent to us)

These are kept by your own browser on your own device. They never travel to our servers — we could not read them if we wanted to.

KeyWhat it remembers
vw:langThe language you chose
vw:favoritesCameras you marked as favorites
vw:mapMap position, zoom and layers
vw:uiWhich section was open, clock format, light mode
vw:changesRecent activity shown in the app
roadze:homeStateThe state the map opens on

Clearing your browser data wipes all of it. Nothing breaks: the app just goes back to its defaults.

Third parties

The map is drawn by Mapbox, so your browser talks to their servers to fetch map tiles. Camera images come from state government feeds. Both see the technical details of any web request — your IP address and browser — which is unavoidable when your browser asks a server for an image.

Neither is used to build a profile of you by us, and we do not pass them anything about your account.

Measurement

Roadze counts visits with Vercel Analytics and measures loading speed with Vercel Speed Insights. Both run on the same servers that host the site.

Neither one sets a cookie, stores anything on your device or identifies you. They do not follow you to other websites, and there is no profile of you anywhere — what we get back is how many people opened a page and how fast it loaded for them. That is why Roadze still does not greet you with a consent wall: there is nothing here to consent to.

Why we measure at all: to know whether the work on the site is helping. Without it we could spend three months improving pages and never find out if anyone arrived.

Controlling cookies

Every browser lets you see, block and delete cookies from its settings. Blocking the one above simply means you will not be able to stay signed in — the cameras and the map keep working.
